We went on a crazy ass honeymoon to the Yucatan and drove around looking at rain forests and Mayan ruins and oddly-plumaged birds and then we stayed in a little frond hut on the beach for a few days. A week after we left the frond hotel was wiped out by a hurricane. Everywhere we went we were followed by a horde of people selling hammocks, until they drove us deep into the rain forest. After we shook them we wished we had a hammock. |
