I know how the rug vendor feels

Dear Diary,

Remember that sack of beavers I was talking about? Gee it sure has been a long time since I updated my diary! Anyway there was something about a sack of beavers but I can’t remember what it was. But what I wanted to say was that I’ve been super busy lately. I’ve been working on a bunch of top-secret stuff that I can’t tell you about. All I can say is, it’s big. It’s bigger than big.

It’s been super windy lately! which is my favorite weather although rain is pretty good too. I like it when the trees around my house do a crazy dance which sets off the motion light and makes them look extra scary. I like the way the air gets really clean and you can see for miles, we even saw a mountain with snow on top of it. I like the chickens during a wind storm, they kind of hunker down in the coop and get very matronly and make tiny alarmed clucking noises. A bunch of trees fell down around my house including one which took out my phone line for a few days. The power of windiness can be an awesome thing! It’s especially so because you can’t even see it it’s just the air. I once saw one of those freeway rug vendors you know the guys who put a hundred carpets up on clotheslines in vacant lots along the freeway? and the carpets were whooshing this way and that, he’d chase after one and two more would go flying and it was a like a horrible slow-motion slapstick pantomime with the poor man spinning around, at wit’s end, besieged from all sides by an unseen enemy.
