Dear Diary,

Here are some things you should know about Olga. She is extra superfoxy and beautiful especially when she looks at me this one way with a mysterious devilish gleam in her eye. She is really into walking through the city and will often walk for miles which is weird because all of a sudden everyone in L.A. is really like, into the pedestrian life, Olga however seems to make a decision at each intersection which makes her walks richer in terms of experience but also resembling the path of a demented ant. She is a sculptor and has a kind of singular artistic vision I mean a special way of perceiving life that I have never before come across. She teaches art to troubled youths in south-central los angeles but through long conversations she also teaches art to me. Strangers are drawn to her and feel compelled to tell her secrets – I think because she has known certain troubles in her life and people sense this in her. She just got a month-old street kitten that wandered up to her in south-central and would not leave and it is the cutest kitten ever and she named it Houdini. Some of the things that intrigue her are: dwellings and shelters, the process of creation, biographies, land use and allocation, cooking, and what’s under the ground.
