Here’s what my crazy-ass sister and I did while she was here: Visited this deranged outsider artist in Silverlake who has covered every surface of his house with broken glass and tiles and shiny pennies including the chairs. Went to dinner with her super-foxy friend Tracy at that place with the Thai Elvis. Went to my favorite bar of all time and drank brandy. It’s called the Club Tee Yee but don’t go there okay? You’d probably ruin it. Went to the largest thrift store in the world, ever. Drove all around this super cool neighborhood looking at things. Went to the coffee-shop at the LA police academy for breakfast. Went to the Huntington Botanical Gardens which is this super beautiful place where they have the famous paintings Big Pinky and Blue Boy. Sat around the house being exhausted. Got all dolled up and went to a classy nightclub for dinner and a flamenco dancer show. Feel free to go there okay? Went to the hippest bar in the hippest neighborhood in the hippest country which is called the Shortstop. Went to the gift shop at the LA County Coroner’s Office to find a present for her boyfriend. Had lunch at a delightful French open-air café in the garment district.
