dear beecroft, The Swiffer is great for killing spiders on the ceiling. it's also very effective for sweeping hardwood floors. brooms just seem to blow the cat hair and dustballs around... the worst thing about the Swiffer is you feel sort of wasteful using and throwing away millions of little sheets. you can also use the sheets to dust objects. the wet swiffer inserts are sort of weird. the Swiffer is best utilized as a gift rather than a purchase.
